Breakfast is no fair for me.the staff say breakfast one room is 2 person cannot do that.have children how come.no fair for me.The toilet door must repair.the inside room toilet can lock.

I secured my booking on booking.com with my credit card (it wasn’t an option to pay in advance) then got a message on the day of my arrival saying they were busy and would only hold my room until 2pm! this was all written in bahasa so I had to google translate but could only reply in English.. I sent several messages to ensure they wouldn’t give my room away and I’d be stranded (cancellation wasn’t an option and they would charge me a full nights cost to cancel!) even though they were threatening to cancel. no one responded to me. luckily when I arrived in Medan a local rung the hotel for me to confirm if my room was available. they said yes but when I arrived they said they’d given my room away!! after I explained I had sent messages and even called they said they had a room for me. terrible communication. when I got to my room I went to run a bath (one of the reasons I chose the hotel) the plug was rusty and didn’t keep the water in and the hot water was lukewarm at best. unpleasant stay overall. would definitely not stay again and definitely not recommend.

Great location, only 10,15 minutes walk from airport train stop in medan, tip top restaurant very near, great indonesian food, javanese coffee ice cream! Good selection at breakfast, lots of choice, good air conditioning, hotel shuttle car back to central train station, definitely recommend getting the train to the city, fast, clean, modern, if you buy online tickets can be cheaper, would definitely stay at Hermes palace again, good value, loved tip top restaurant, lots of old Dutch buildings in the area

Shame there wasn't room for a swimming pool

the location of hotel is quite strategic, it is easy to find everything we need

room boy that can help the hotel guest just a few, the pillows are quite hard so uncomfortable to sleep
